Slutty Brownies

They're oh so easy and a little bit filthy!! Just look at them!!

Chocolate chip cookies, Oreos and brownies... What's not to love!?!

These have been floating around the internet for years, but I think the first time I saw them was on The Londoner. They really are the most amazingly delicious and gooey brownies you will ever have!!

Let's just have one more closer look! So good!!

1 Box Cookie Mix
1 Box Brownie Mix
2 packets of Oreos
Vegetable Oil
2 eggs
Water

Preheat your oven to 180ºC and line a baking tin. Make up your cookie dough according to the box instructions and press into the baking tin. Layer the Oreos on top!! Eat a couple along the way. Make up your brownie mix according to the box instructions and pour on top of the cookie and Oreos. Bake for around 20-25 minutes. To check if they're done, place a skewer or knife into the brownies halfway between the edge and the middle and it should come out barely clean. You want the middle to still be gooey. Leave to cool in the tin on a wire rack. When completely cool, turn out of the tin and cut into squares.

Pecan Blondies

I was rooting through my kitchen cupboards last weekend, when I found a bag of pecans! I remembered seeing a recipe for these blondies in my Great British Bake Off book and decided to make use of the pecans. I then realised I had no white chocolate, so had to go to the shop anyways! But it was totally worth it!!

These were so good. They were really quick and simple to make and tasted scrumptious! They were soft and slightly chewy, just the way a brownie should be! I brought them out to my mum's house, and together we worked our way through the entire batch in no time. Definitely a recipe I'll be adding to my ever-growing list of regular bakes.

225g white chocolate, chopped
115g unsalted buter
100g caster sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
125g plain flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
75g pecans, halved

Preheat the oven to 180ºC and line a baking tray. Put 175g of the chocolate and the butter in a heatproof bowl and melt in the microwave. To stop chocolate from burning in the microwave, blast it in short bursts and when it is nearly melted, take it out and stir until smooth. Stir in the sugar and leave to cool for 2 minutes. In another bowl, beat the eggs and vanilla until frothy. Add this to the chocolate mixture and stir well until glossy. Sift in the flour and baking powder and stir in. Add the pecans and remaining 50g of chocolate and stir in. Transfer mixture to the prepared tin and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or a skewer comes out clean. Set the tray on a wire rack and let cool completely before turning out and cutting into squares.

Nutella Brownies

Last night I got a craving. I needed chocolate. Of course, trying to be healthy, there was no chocolate in the house. I had some cocoa powder so thought I'd make some brownies. Then checked the recipe and realised they needed real chocolate. Searching the presses again I came across a jar of the almighty Nutella. My favourite food item. The best thing ever invented. So, I looked to a dear friend for help: Google. I found a recipe for Nutella brownies and set to work.

These brownies were really simple to make and made my kitchen smell amazing. The recipe said let them cool for 2 hours, but I couldn't do. After 30 minutes I had already devoured three squares. They were light and fluffy, with just the right amount of chewiness that a brownie should have. They were rich and delicious but didn't really taste of Nutella, which I was quite disappointed with. I'm not sure if I'd make them again, mainly because I don't know if they're worth the cup of Nutella. But if ever I need to settle a chocolate craving again, I'll know to turn to good old Nutella.
